Akwa Ibom Man hit with brain cancer, his brain exposed

Below are photos of Victor Paul Bassey, an Akwa Ibomite from Uyo LGA with brain tumor which has affected his spines and legs.

They have spent all they have as a family and all the young man is doing right now is to use a facecap on his head and wait for whatever fate will bring his way.

According to reports, he needs a surgery that will cost about 2 million Naira at the Ibom specialist hospital.

However, financial constraints are the major problems militating against his surgery.

This Female Smuggler Was Arrested With 102 iPhones Strapped To Her Body [Photos ) Aug 3, 2017 1:05 PM A woman has been apprehended while making an attempt to smuggle 102 iPhones from Hong Kong to mainland China. The report said, she strapped them to her torso and tried hiding them with extra sheets of clothing. The suspected smuggler tried crossing the border on  June 30 , around  8:00 PM . According to the customs officers that apprehended her, the weather was scorching, yet the woman was putting on a knitted sweater on top of her t-shirt. Moreover, her arms and legs seen to be relatively slim, but her upper body was strangely wide. This made customs officials to direct her the metal detector, upon passing through the security system, the alarm triggered. Nigerian oil marketers refute NNPC’s claim on crash of petrol Price

Nigerian oil marketers, under the aegis of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association (DAPPMA), have refuted the claims made by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on the crash of the petrol price. They argued that the corporation might have reduced petrol price at its stations because of its relative ease of assessing foreign exchange. The Executive Secretary of DAPPMA, Olufemi Adewole, told journalists yesterday that members of group were still selling petrol at N145 per litre, adding that he was not aware that the price of the product had crashed. He said, “I’m not aware the price of petrol has crashed. My people are still selling at N145 per litre. So if the NNPC has crashed its price, it doesn’t have the overhead that we have; it is not repaying loans to banks like we are paying and government is not owing the NNPC like it owns us. “So, we are operating in the same market but different conditions.
