An upset stomach is one of the worst things anyone can experience.
It gets even worse when the said upset stomach comes along with nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. If you have a stomach that is rebelling, the only thing you want is to feel better. Here are some foods that will help in soothing your stomach and will make you feel better faster:
1. White rice
When it comes to soothing upset stomach, nothing beats white rice. White rice is bland and starchy, so it doesn’t upset your digestive system. It helps to ease your hurting tummy by absorbing excess fluids in your stomach and hardening your stool.

2. Papaya (Paw Paw)
This is also good for upset stomach as it contains enzymes that break down proteins and soothes the stomach by improving the acidic environment found there.

3. Ginger drink
If your upset stomach comes with nausea and vomiting, try some ginger tea. Simply boil some water, add some slices of ginger to it with a teaspoon of honey or try this recipe from Servepot. Drink this to stop nausea.
4. Banana
Bananas are also great for nausea and diarrhoea. Bananas contain pectin which helps to firm up your stool and stop diarrhoea.

5. Boiled potatoes
These work in the same way as rice. Bland, starchy and able to harden stool by absorbing excess fluids in your stomach. Best of all, it is way tastier than plain white rice.

6. Mint tea
Mint tea works in the same way as the ginger drink though it does not have as powerful a taste as ginger. Simply add some mint leaves to a cup of boiled water. Allow to steep and drink for relief.
