Hector Jobarteh. An Uber cab driver is among six suspects arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of the former Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) winner, Hector Jobarteh. The suspects were arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos Command, led by Sanusi Mohammed, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), who had been on their trail since the incident occurred. Hector, who was killed on September 3, was trailed to his home at No. 8, Olufowora Close, New Oko-Oba, Lagos, from the airport where he had gone to pick up his younger brother.   Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, who paraded the suspects before newsmen yesterday, said the police arrested the suspects following a painstaking effort. He disclosed that the phones belonging to the victims have been recovered, adding that one of the suspects is presently on the run. A nail artist who has spent 23 years growing her nails which takes a week to paint, has been crowned with title of the world’s longest fingernails by Guinness World Records. A nail artist from Houston, Texas, identified as Ayanna Williams, has been crowned with the title of the world’s longest fingernails by the 2018 Guinness World Records, and in total her nails measure more than 18 feet long, each of which is just under two foot long. She has also revealed that the most challenging thing about having extremely long fingernails, which can take up to one week to paint, is pulling up her trousers. While she’s constantly getting lots of attention for her nails, and knows she is rather unique, her friends and family think it’s quite normal. Some corp members serving in Akwa Ibom state have survived a car accident after their vehicle somersaulted multiple times on their way back from community development programme. One of the corp members identified as Kacci Ajike took to his Facebook page to thank God for saving his life in the terrible accident. Ajike explained that they were all coming back from their CDs when the accident happened. The corp member further noted that the car tumbled more than three times before it veered off into the bush. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Wednesday said it had received another batch of 121 stranded Nigerians from Libya, making a total of 2,638 Nigerians repatriated since February. The Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Mr Suleiman Yakubu, received the new batch of evacuees on behalf of the Federal Government, enjoining them to learn from their unpleasant experiences while in Libya. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that NEMA had on Aug. 29 received another batch of 139 returnees, brought back from Libya by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). Yakubu said the aircraft that transported them arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) at 5:30p.m on Wednesday aboard a chartered Airbus SA320 Nouvelair Flight with Registration number TS-INA. According to a statement signed by Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, the South-West Spokesman of NEMA, Yakubu said that the agency received the 121 returnees from the officials of IOM. The Enugu-based comic actor reportedly suffered heart attack in the presence of a friend, Odira Nwobu today. Sadly he was pronounced dead at the hospital moments later. Nwobu who witnessed the heart attack episode took to Instagram about 5 hours ago to break the sad news to fans of the comic actor. Nigerian oil marketers, under the aegis of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association (DAPPMA), have refuted the claims made by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on the crash of the petrol price. They argued that the corporation might have reduced petrol price at its stations because of its relative ease of assessing foreign exchange. The Executive Secretary of DAPPMA, Olufemi Adewole, told journalists yesterday that members of group were still selling petrol at N145 per litre, adding that he was not aware that the price of the product had crashed. He said, “I’m not aware the price of petrol has crashed. My people are still selling at N145 per litre. So if the NNPC has crashed its price, it doesn’t have the overhead that we have; it is not repaying loans to banks like we are paying and government is not owing the NNPC like it owns us. “So, we are operating in the same market but different conditions. Watermelon iced tea  (Food network) Ingredients 1. 1 black iced tea bag (like Lipton) 2. 2 cups water 3. 3 cups diced watermelon (deseed) 4. 1 lime juice 4. Sugar to taste Preparation 1. Sept 1, 2017 12:50 PM The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, who is highly revered by Biafra supporters, seems to have attained a full 'demigod' status. It seems like Biafra supporters are beginning to worship Kanu, who has been called several names like ' healer ' and even  likened to a prophet and the 'chosen one '. According to a picture which has since gone viral, one of such supporters was seeing bending down to kiss Kanu's feet, as he also bent to give him an appreciative pat on the head.
